Conservation of the natural environment of the Shin-Tomei Expwy (September 1, 2011)

Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited Hadano Construction Office (Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Director, Hisacho Sato), on August 25, 2011, the Shin-Tomei Expwy Natural Environment Study Group (Chair: Akira Kameyama, Professor Emeritus, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology) )has been held. At the study meeting, when constructing the Shin-Tomei Expwy, based on the situation of the natural environment around the planned route, we reported the results of the investigations and examinations that have been carried out so far, and discussed the future investigation plan and conservation measures. ..

Survey of raptors and examination of conservation measures
2. Raptor survey
From January to July, a field survey was conducted to confirm the flight and breeding of the northern goshawk etc.
3. Consideration of maintenance measures
We reported the examination results and implementation status of artificial alternative nests as a conservation measure for raptors, and discussed the policy of future conservation measures.
Four. Review Committee Discussion Results
  • (1) We examined future raptor survey policies and conservation policy.
  • (2) The work schedule was confirmed for raptor conservation measures such as artificial alternative nests and field surveys.
