In order to use the opposite lane, it is necessary to temporarily remove the guardrails at the openings installed at regular intervals in the median strip, but the detachable Guard rails required a long time for preparation and on-site work because cranes and tools were required for removal.
For this reason, there has been a demand for the development of a guard rail for the opening of the median strip, which can be operated without using a crane or tools and can be easily attached and detached in a short time.
That's why we have developed the "Lane Opener" to be introduced today.
This product was jointly developed with Shinko Construction Materials Co., Ltd.
The "lane opener" developed this time is a guardrail that is a block with an extension of about 3m and a spacing of 2m between columns.
The guardrail body is divided into blocks, and each column has casters, so that it can be moved manually without using cranes or tools.
With the conventional guard rail for the median strip opening, it took about 4 hours to remove one opening (about 50m), including arranging a crane, but this product requires no crane or tools. Removal is possible in about a minute.

In the future, we plan to promote the use of this product mainly in locations where the guardrail at the opening of the median strip is likely to be removed due to past accidents or other circumstances in our service area.
