Traffic and Regulations
Due to the Lake Suwa Festival Fireworks Display, the E20 Chuo Expressway Suwako SA Area (both directions) and the Suwa Lake Smart Interchange (both directions) exits will be closed from 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, until the end of the fireworks display.
Traffic and Regulations
Renewal work will be carried out on the E1 Tomei Expressway (OiMatsuda IC to Shimizu JCT) (from 6:00 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 to 12:00 AM on Friday, April 16, 2027). ~Traffic congestion is expected, so please search for "Tomei Expressway Construction" before you travel.~
Traffic and Regulations
The C3 Tokai-Kanjo Expressway ToyotaFujioka IC (outer loop exit) will be closed at night on August 1st (Sat) and 2nd (Sun), 2026 (Reserve dates: August 22nd (Sat) and 23rd (Sun)). Please use nearby interchanges or change your travel time.
Opening and Construction
The official name for the smart interchange to be installed on the E1 Tomei Expwy in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, has been decided as "Okazaki Kita Smart Interchange".
Traffic and Regulations
To alleviate traffic congestion, construction work will be carried out on the E1 Tomei Expressway between YokohamaMachida IC and Ebina JCT (In-bound lanes), specifically near Ayase-SIC to install additional lanes. Traffic congestion is expected, so please search for "Tomei Construction" before you travel.
