First, regarding operating conditions, toll revenue in April was ¥ 58,428 million, an increase of 3.9% from the same month of the previous year, and the average number of traffic per day was 2,919,000 units, an increase of 2.9% from the same month of the previous year. It was.
In April, both toll revenue and number of vehicles increased, as the end of the month was the first half of 10 consecutive holidays of Golden Week and the use of large vehicles continued to be strong.
Looking at the number of passing vehicles, the number of large vehicles increased by 5.3% compared to the same month last year.

Next is the construction situation.
Attachment 1 shows the section scheduled to be newly opened in 2019.
In each section, road construction works such as earthworks and bridge superstructures are currently being rolled out, and construction work is being started on paving work, signage work, information boards, etc., starting from the completion of the body work. .

[Traffic situation and maintenance effect one month after opening]
We will introduce the situation after the opening of Shin-Tomei Expressway, which opened last year, and Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway, which has completed the four-lane conversion.
First of all, I would like to introduce the traffic situation and the effect of maintenance of Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway with 4 lanes. See Appendix 2-1.
The long-standing problem of chronic traffic congestion due to traffic concentration in winter has been resolved by using four lanes. This has contributed to the promotion of tourism by increasing the number of visitors to the surrounding leisure facilities.
During the Golden Week period, although traffic volume increased 1.3 times, traffic congestion was reduced by 90% and smooth traffic was secured.
As a result of the elimination of traffic congestion, the number of accidents decreased to about 1/4 and the number of road closures also decreased to 1/5, etc.The safety and stability of the Expressway network between Tokai and Hokuriku The sexuality has been improved.
Next, I will introduce the traffic conditions after the opening of the Isehara Junction (JCT) from the interchange (IC) at Shin-Tomei Expressway Atsugi-minami. See Document 2-2.
The average traffic volume for one month after the opening from Shin-Tomei Expressway Atsugiminami IC to Isehara JCT opened in March this year is about 1 per day. The number of Tomei Expressway cars in parallel with Tomei is 6,000, and the number of Tomei Expressway cars in parallel is 104,000, and the traffic from Tomei to Shin-Tomei Expressway is being changed.
In addition, the choice of routes for customers traveling on the Tomei In-bound line has increased, and via Shin-Tomei Expressway Ken-O Road is used, and changes in traffic such as switching from Tomei Atsugi IC to Shin-Tomei Expressway Atsugiminami IC are seen It is being done.
Regarding the opening effect of Shin-Meishin Expressway and Chubu Odan Expressway which were opened in March this year, the Chubu Regional Development Bureau and Kanto Regional Development Bureau are currently We are organizing this along with the local governments along the railway lines, so we will report again as soon as they are put together.

[Development of an auxiliary device called "Tenken-rakku" for the purpose of reducing fatigue of inspection engineers' arms]
Next is the topic on technology development.
Please see document 3.
Concrete structures such as tunnels may peel on the surface due to deterioration over time. If peeling occurs, it affects the soundness of the concrete structure and, depending on the location, it may affect the customer by dropping concrete pieces, so we regularly inspect it with a tapping sound.
In the inspection by tapping, an inspection technician often uses an inspection hammer with a weight of about 230 g and continues to work with the arm kept at a high position, and the work time is 6 hours a day. It may extend. Fatigue during work especially accumulates in the inspection engineer's arm, so it is necessary to rest the arm about once every 5 minutes, and the current work efficiency does not improve.
In order to solve this problem, it was desired to develop an auxiliary device that reduces the fatigue of the inspection engineer's arm caused by the sound of tapping.
So we developed "Inspection Easy".
This product was jointly developed with Nikkari Co., Ltd. by our Companies in our Group, Nakanihon Highway Engineering Nagoya (Engineering Nagoya).
This product, "Inspection-easy", has a structure that supports the weight of the arm during striking work with the waist belt through the "arm support", "height holding arm", and "auxiliary arm".
When an inspection engineer belonging to ENG Nagoya used this product on a trial basis, he said, "There is less restraint on the arm and it supports the arm without significantly changing the normal inspection operation, which led to a reduction in fatigue. We were able to obtain a high evaluation from 70% of inspection engineers.
In particular, for inspections inside tunnels that require continuous upward striking work, it is possible to perform continuous striking work without resting the arm, and it is expected that work efficiency will increase.
The details will be explained in detail by the staff in charge after the conference, so please be sure to interview us.
In the future, we plan to make full use of this product in the inspection work conducted by ENG Nagoya, and we would like to put in place a sales system so that it can be used by other companies.
We are also actively promoting technology development through open innovation. Our official website is also looking for information and suggestions that will lead to new technology development on six themes such as "advanced inspection", so I would like to ask that person as well. I will.
We will continue to work on technology development as a group.

[Conclusion of Memorandum of Understanding for Technical Cooperation (MOU) with Metro Pacific Tollways (MPTC)]
Next is the topic on the conclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding for Technical Cooperation between the Company and Metro Pacific Tollways in the Philippines.
See Appendix 4.
On April 25, in Metropolitan Manila, Makati City, the Philippines Expressway operator Metro Pacific Tollways (MPTC), the Company, the capital, Japan Expressway International (JEXWAY) Signed a memorandum of understanding regarding future technical cooperation and information exchange.
MPTC is very interested in Japanese ETC systems for Expressway, maintenance and management technology for structures, and SA operational know-how.
On the other hand, the Company, Shutoko and JEXWAY have deepened their relationship with the Philippines through the dispatch of engineers and consideration for participation in projects.
Against this background, we wanted to build a trusting relationship through technical cooperation with MPTC, keeping in mind future business development in the Philippines, and we have signed this memorandum.
As described in Document 4, the range of technical cooperation and information exchange covers a wide range, such as Expressway maintenance and asset management, toll collection systems, and rest facility marketing.
In the future, we would like to deepen mutual exchange through training and seminars in both countries, grasp individual issues and needs, and lead to business development in the Philippines.

[Mei-Nikan Expressway, Higashi-Meihan Expressway-Shin-Meishin Expressway refresh construction work to accompany Isewangan Expressway for detour to]
See Appendix 5.
May 11, has been carried out from (Saturday) Mei-Nikan Expressway, Higashi-Meihan Expressway-Shin-Meishin Expressway refresh construction, was successfully completed on May 25 (Saturday).
We apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the construction period.
At the regular meeting last month, for the purpose of alleviating traffic congestion due to refreshment work, let me tell you that if the customer detours to the Isewangan Expressway, the fare will be adjusted to the same amount. Thank you.
As a result, although it is a preliminary value, four days from May 14 (Tue) to May 17 (Fri) during the construction period and from May 7 (Tue) to May 10 before the construction work Comparing with 4 days until (Fri), about 3,000 cars / day, which is about 10% of the traffic volume (about 40,000 cars / day) subject to rate adjustment, detours to Isewangan Expressway. Thank you for your cooperation.
We would like to thank everyone in the press for reporting on the charge adjustment by detour.
In addition, we will adjust the fare due to the detour even during the day and night continuous lane regulation on the Isewan Isewangan Expressway from Saturday, June 15th to Monday, July 1st.
We will inconvenience many customers, such as traffic jams, when we carry out long-term traffic regulation work such as refreshment work, so we will detour to more customers. We will strive to strengthen public relations so that we can cooperate with you.
In addition, we will implement various measures in addition to price adjustments to minimize the impact on our customers, so please cooperate with everyone involved in the press to disseminate information.

[Moderator]

These are the topics we have prepared today. Now, let's receive your questions.

[Reporter]

Please tell us what is the example of such an alliance with an overseas Expressway company or a toll road company in concluding a memorandum of understanding regarding technical cooperation with a toll road company in the Philippines.

[President]

One is a part of the investment in the operation of a toll road called Furi By-pass in Vietnam. In addition, we are preparing various things to provide our know-how.

[Reporter]

In terms of the region, are you thinking of developing mainly in Southeast Asia?

[President]

While working together with NEXCO3 companies, we are developing mainly in Southeast Asia, but we are also proceeding with maintenance in part in North America.

[Reporter]

It means that it will be expanded to North America and Southeast Asia in the future. Please tell us your aim for overseas expansion.

[President]

We have been implementing technical cooperation overseas since the days of the Japan Highway Public Corporation. It is an extension of that, and it is also positioned as part of that, as the country is promoting efforts to export infrastructure overseas.

[Reporter]

Regarding the four lanes from the Shirotori IC to the HidaKiyomi IC Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway, it is said that traffic congestion has decreased, but again, please tell us what you think of the president.

[President]

If you go to HidaKiyomi IC, Takayama City will be nearby. Up to that point, we have four lanes, and as I mentioned earlier, traffic congestion and accidents have decreased, and the number of road closures has also decreased. We are pleased to be able to stably supply the functions of Expressway as a result. I also want to make four lanes in the north of HidaKiyomi IC.

[Reporter]

Please tell us about the annual cultivation plan for "Nippon Nihon Farm Suzunari".

[President]

Lettuce is grown from autumn to winter. Green soybeans cannot be used in winter, so plant them in spring for harvest. The basic idea is to grow by such rotation.

[Reporter]

Is there anything you would like to grow like this in the future?

[President]

So far, I have not considered any new varieties. This is the first time for edamame, so I hope that this will work out first. Also, if there is something good, I would like to expand it, but first I would like to do lettuce and edamame firmly.

[Reporter]

Please tell us what you have in your view, such as developing products using the harvested products here.

[President]

Rather than product development, it now takes the form of selling to the market through distribution. We are promoting the provision of ingredients to companies that make salads, some of which are on the market.

[Moderator]

It seems that your question has been interrupted, so this is the end of your regular meeting.
