Due to the influence, traffic has been closed between the Meishin Expwy In-bound Line Yokaichi IC and Hikone IC. Fortunately, there were no injuries to the customers and neighbors, but some sediment was spilled into the premises of a private house adjacent to the Expressway.

Currently, as an emergency restoration measure, we are currently implementing a steel sheet pile embankment preventive measure to remove soil and prevent damage Large, and we have announced that it is about one week, but we will complete it on Saturday 21st , Aim to lift the road closure.

We sincerely apologize to our customers and neighbors for causing inconvenience, and will continue to work to release the road closure as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The 162km section between Gotemba JCT and Mikkabi JCT on the Shin-Tomei Expwy opened on April 14, 2012, and is used by many customers. This construction project will contribute to the advancement and development of civil engineering technology in the Asian region. Recognized as a project that made a significant contribution, it received the Project Award of the Union Council of Asian Civil Engineering Associations at the International Conference on Asian Civil Engineering Technology held in Jakarta, Indonesia on August 21, 2013. This award was overcome on the Shin-Tomei Expwy, which has many severe construction conditions, such as a high pier over 50 m, a bridge in a mountainous area with a long span length of 130 m or more, and a tunnel with a shallow depth from the ground surface. 【MC】

Now, I would like to receive your questions from now on.

[Reporter]

JR Tokai announced the route of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen, and the route between Nagoya and Tokyo has been confirmed. Please tell us about the business impact on your company and the advantages and disadvantages.

[President Kaneko]

I understand in the press, but I don't think there are any disadvantages to opening the Linear Chuo Shinkansen. It is not yet known whether the station along the Linear Chuo Shinkansen will have convenient access to the JR line or to the Expressway, but it is not clear which way it is. I think the network is important, considering the convenience of those who work. I would like to talk with JR Tokai in the future from this point of view to what extent we can contribute to such access in the future.

[Reporter]

There are no disadvantages, but do you mean that those who use cars and those who use linear have different purposes in the first place and are not in a competitive situation?

[President Kaneko]

The Linear Chuo Shinkansen connects Shinagawa and Nagoya in 40 minutes, but that is unlikely to be possible by car. Rather, I think it is more important how to access the station.

[Reporter]

Meishin Expwy The embankment has collapsed. Could you analyze the cause?

[President Kaneko]

On September 23, an expert teacher will enter the site to have a detailed analysis of what caused the collapse. After that, the restoration work will be implemented.

[Reporter]

Did the slope fall like this time recently?

[President Kaneko]

The big thing was the fall of the slope due to the Suruga Bay earthquake at Makinohara on Tomei Expressway during the Bon Festival season in August 2009.

[Reporter]

Has this triggered the inspection of the slope outside of this area?

[President Kaneko]

We are currently inspecting similar parts.

[Reporter]

As you focus on resilience of the country, do you have any hopes for activation of public works?

[President Kaneko]

The project cost for repairs under the “Three-Year Safety Improvement Plan” was about 120 billion yen in the past three years, but will be nearly doubled in the next three years. The Company will put priority on ensuring and improving safety.

[Reporter]

Please tell us about your company's expectations for free paper.

[President Kaneko]

To put it simply, we want you to enjoy life with cars and use a lot of Expressway.

[Reporter]

I think your company is working on enhancing the appeal of service areas and parking areas, such as sweets contests. Please tell us about the current situation and future direction of these efforts.

[President Kaneko]

Efforts have been made to enhance the appeal of Expressway, and we will continue to do so in the future. We also work on developing sweets and new food, as well as customer service contests with all tenants in the service and parking areas. We want to make customers want to be pleased at least, go to that service area or parking area again to receive that service, or want to meet the people who received that service. I would like to work on developing new products and further improving services.

[Reporter]

Have you felt any responsiveness in your efforts so far?

[President Kaneko]

Shin-Tomei Expressway service area and parking area is located in the store 121, but about half the 67 stores are Expressway is the store for the first time opened on. It is new and unprecedented for its customers. It can be food, apparel, or motorcycle equipment. When we dig up such new demand and please our customers, we feel a response.

[Reporter]

We will ask about the organizational reform of the “Three-Year Safety Improvement Plan”. I heard that it will be announced in the fall, but please tell me when it will be announced.

[President Kaneko]

I expect November. The expansion of maintenance personnel will begin in the first phase in September-October and will be completed in April next year.

[Reporter]

Specifically, what kind of content do you plan?

[President Kaneko]

As the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Ota also mentioned, we recognize that this year is the first year of maintenance. I think that management will be the main focus from construction. Therefore, how to create an in-house system that focuses on management. One of these is the organization, the other is the human resources, and the technology for strengthening the system.Additionally, putting the customer's safety first and safety first and foremost. It is a daily awareness change for. I think these four are necessary.

In order to strengthen the management system, we will also change the quality and frequency of the on-site inspection system. Naturally, we need to increase our human resources. This is one of the pillars of the three-year plan, but the staffing will increase by more than 100. As mentioned earlier, about half of the first 60 people will be transferred. We will establish a system that can judge the inspection, judgment, repair, record, and other processes as quickly as possible by the local entity as much as possible. Of course, we will also work on new technology development.

[Reporter]

Please tell us your thoughts on what role you can play and what kind of contribution you can make in light of the Olympics.

[President Kaneko]

I think the hosting of the Olympics is very exciting news. Japan will be brighter and the economic revitalization and our business will be very closely related. Specifically, we believe that it can contribute to securing transportation routes for people and the like. For example, some games will be played at Ajinomoto Stadium, so an Olympic lane will be offered between Takaido IC and Chofu IC on Chuo Expressway Expressway. I would like to coordinate with related organizations on how to do this in the future.

It seems that the question has been interrupted, so this will end the regular press conference.
