The second part of the "Fuji City Surrounding Area Revitalization Project, a joint effort between the public, private and local communities," which is the first of its kind in the country to link a local railway and Expressway, will be held from July 13th (Sat) to November 17th (Sun). The project is called "A Trip to Fuji in its entirety -- Let's embark on a great journey to Fuji!"
In addition to further enhancing the initiatives that were well received last year, new initiatives will also be introduced, and through collaboration and cooperation between the four parties, the aim is to promote travel via public transportation, create excitement in the Fuji region, and Large the use of facilities owned by each business.

Partnership Agreement

The four parties - Gakunan Electric Railway Co., Ltd., Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited Ltd. Tokyo Regional Head Office Fuji Maintenance and Service Center, Central Nippon Exis Company Limited, Ltd. Suruga Branch, and Fuji City - have signed a collaboration and cooperation agreement in 2023 with the aim of contributing to the revitalization of the local community, centered on Fuji City.

(1) Stamp Rally
■ Digital Stamp Rally "Fuji Photogenic Journey" [Renewal]
This is a digital stamp rally that takes you around 10 checkpoints at photogenic spots in Fuji City, including the Gakunan Railway Station and the Fujikawa Service Area (SA) on the E1 Tomei Expwy (Tomei).
If you collect all the stamps and submit an entry, you will be entered into a lottery to win original goods.

• Campaign period: Thursday, August 1, 2024 to Monday, September 16, 2024 (planned) *Winners will be announced in December.
• How to participate Download and use the smartphone app "Wakuwaku Highway." You can access it by searching for "Wakuwaku Highway" on your smartphone or by scanning the following QR code.

■Stamp rally held at the same time "Try the AR experience on a Fuji trip" [NEW]
By tapping the AR URL at the stamp rally points of the "Fuji Photogenic Trip," you can take photos of nostalgic Fuji city scenery and with "Michimaru-kun and Samonyan."
*"Michimaru-kun" is NEXCO CENTRAL original character, and "Samonyan" is Fuji City's city promotional character.

■Stamp rally held at the same time "Find Michimaru-kun and Samonyan" [NEW]
This event involves finding Michimaru-kun and Samonyan hiding at checkpoints in the digital stamp rally "Fuji Photogenic Trip" and guessing the keywords.
You can get a participation prize by exchanging the keyword at E1 Tomei Fujikawa SA (both up and down) and Yoshiwara Station on the Gakunan Railway Line.

About the smartphone app [WakuWaku Highway]
*The app can be downloaded in advance, but the digital stamp rally website is scheduled to go live on Thursday, August 1st.

(2) Fast Travel Drive Plan [NEW]
We are releasing a very good value driving plan that includes an extremely good value Expressway Expressway areas, a one-day pass for the entire Gakunan Railway Line, a one-day parking pass for the car park in front of Gakunan Railway Line's Hina Station, and Gakunan Railway merchandise.

• Implementation period: Late July to late December 2024 (planned) *Some periods are excluded, such as Obon.

(3) Look at the Highway! Look at the Highway! Tours "Cars and trains!? A tour to see the inside of vehicles" [NEW]
Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited Limited Tokyo Regional Head Office Fuji Maintenance and Service Center holds the "Look at the Highway! Look at the Highway! Tours" summer Expressway tour for elementary school students every year to help children become familiar with Expressway. This year, in addition to Expressway, the tour will also include a tour of the Gakunan Railway's depot, titled "Cars and Trains! A Full Behind-the-Scenes Tour of Vehicles."
This tour is extremely popular, as it allows participants to learn while having fun about the behind-the-scenes aspects of Expressway that they normally cannot see or touch, by experiencing the work involved in maintaining Expressway Expressway, touring facilities, and taking special test drives of vehicles that work on the expressway.

• Entries: 40 people (elementary school students accompanied by a guardian) *Recruitment for this year has closed.
• Event details: Special test drive of working vehicles, experience of flag waving with the traffic control team, tour of the Gakunan Railway depot, etc.

(4) Gakunan Railway collaboration commemorative menu and collaboration goods sales [Renewal]
Menu items and merchandise created in collaboration with Gakunan Railway will be on sale at the E1 Tomei Fujikawa SA (both up and down). Sweets made with "cider kan," a popular snack served in school lunches in Fuji City, original merchandise with collaboration designs, gacha machines, and more will be on sale from Saturday, July 13th.

(5) Operation and departure ceremony for the "Michimaru-kun x Samonyan Collaborative Wrapping Train" [Continued]
To commemorate this collaboration, one 7000-series train on the Gakunan Railway Line will be wrapped in a "Michimaru-kun x Samonyan collaboration wrapping train." A departure ceremony will be held at Yoshiwara Station, which connects to the JR Tokaido Line, to mark the start of operations. Michimaru-kun is also scheduled to make an appearance at the departure ceremony.

(6) "Gakunan Railway Original Headmark Design Contest" by high school students in Fuji City [Continued]
E1 Tomei Continuing from last year, we are inviting high school students who live or attend high schools in Fuji City to submit designs for a headmark suitable for decorating the "face" of the Gakunan Electric Railway. The submitted works will be exhibited at Fujikawa SA (Out-bound) around September to October and voted for. The winner will be honored at the "Gakunan Electric Railway Festival 2024" scheduled to be held on Sunday, November 10th, and the design will be installed on the actual train and put into operation around March of the following year.

(7) "Gakunan Railway Festival 2024" [Continued]
The Gakunan Train Festival, which was held for the first time in four years last year, will be held again this year as follows. A packed day is planned, including stage events by artists with ties to the Gakunan Train and the local Fuji City, booths from Fuji City and NEXCO CENTRAL Group, railway goods sales, food stalls, and an experience event that parents and children can enjoy. The stage event will also include an award ceremony for the winners of a headmark design contest. *Event details will be released at a later date.
