  • Transportation information

When heavy rain or a typhoon is approaching, please check the latest weather forecast and road traffic information before heading out.

In recent years, heavy rains and typhoons have become more severe and frequent, which may necessitate traffic restrictions on Expressway. When we anticipate an impact on Expressway, we will issue warnings starting three days before the rainfall through NEXCO CENTRAL official website, social media (NEXCO CENTRAL Official X), iHighway Central Japan (Realtime Traffic Information), and other channels.
For customers using Expressway when heavy rain is predicted, we kindly ask that you check the latest weather forecasts and road traffic information before you leave.

Work to be done until the road closure due to rain is lifted

The road closure will be lifted only after safety checks have been completed.
The rain that has fallen so far has loosened the ground, which could lead to disasters such as mudslides flowing onto the main highway from Expressway or slope collapses.
Therefore, the road closure will only be lifted after a period of rain-free weather has passed, followed by inspections and work to ensure safety.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
