Shin-Tomei Expressway Ebina-minami About 2km from the junction (JCT) to the Atsugi-minami interchange (IC), the road itself such as the earthwork and bridge superstructure of the Atsugiminami IC section is under construction. ..
Also, from this month, we have begun pavement work, sign work, and facility work such as building at the toll gate.

[We have developed a brain evaluation method for instantaneous judgment that uses brain function NIRS for traffic safety measures]

Please see Document 3 next. This is a new approach to traffic accident countermeasures.
Expressway has installed warning signs, road markings, gaze indicators, etc. to prevent traffic accidents, and we have developed a new method to evaluate these effects.
Until now, the effectiveness of safety measures was evaluated using questionnaires and driving simulators. However, in the questionnaire, there were problems such as memorable mistakes and unavoidable assumptions.
In addition, the driving simulator and the actual Expressway may not be able to obtain accurate evaluation due to differences in appearance.
In order to solve these problems, we have collaborated with the Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo and Brain School Co., Ltd. to match the brightness ratio of the target object under the actual driving environment and the driving simulator environment. It has been improved to a driving simulator with a realistic screen.
On the other hand, we developed a technology to measure the brain activity of a driver by mounting a brain function near-infrared analysis and measurement device (brain function NIRUS) on a vehicle, and quantitatively grasp brain activity without relying on the memory of questionnaires. We have developed a method for evaluation.
From these, by conducting a real road experiment at Expressway before opening and an experiment using a driving simulator, deriving a correlation between the results of both experiments and using the driving simulator and brain function Nils, It became possible to obtain the same evaluation as the road test.
In the future, by applying the technology for measuring brain activity developed this time, we will utilize it for, for example, providing information on complicated structural parts of the JCT section and verifying traffic safety measures for sign design, and more effective traffic accident countermeasures. [Regarding efforts to consider the local environment (making eco-roads)]

Efforts related to "consideration for the local environment" have been advanced as an eco-road (road that considers the natural environment).
Since the construction of Expressway may result in the loss of habitat and habitat for the surrounding flora and fauna and fragmentation of animal migration routes, we have set up the eco-road throughout Expressway for the following purposes. We are working on making.

Regarding the transplantation of rare plants, it has been confirmed that more than 90% of the orchids, which are designated as an endangered species in Aichi prefecture, have grown even after being transplanted to alternative sites.
Regarding rare animals, it has been confirmed that the endangered species IB of the country, Tokai Nagarehotokedojou, maintains the population at the transplanted alternative land. In addition, it was confirmed that the population of the aquatic insect Pleurotus sp.

[Efforts to create a workplace where women can work comfortably]

While various companies are making efforts to promote the active participation of female employees, we are also promoting "Efforts to create a workplace in which women can work comfortably."

We regard the promotion of women's active participation as one of the important issues and are actively working to hire female core employees. As a result, the number of female managers at our company has increased approximately 1.6 times over the five years from fiscal 2012 to fiscal 2017, and as of April 1, 2017, we have 183 female employees.
We are making various efforts to create a working environment in which female employees can continue to play active roles even after experiencing life events such as childbirth and childcare.
Today, we would like to introduce some of the results of the “Workplace Promotion Conference for Women”, which is one of the efforts, and about the partial renewal of women's workwear and the creation of a “system book for childcare”.
Although our workwear has a size for women, it was basically designed for men to be smaller for women. This time, female employees exchanged their opinions and partly renewed them into safe and functional work clothes suited to the body shape of women.
In addition, we have created a “Book for Childcare System” that summarizes our various systems related to childbirth and childcare, and widely publicize it not only for female employees but also for male employees to promote the utilization of the system. ..

In the future, there will be two new SA/PAs in the Suzuka PA of Shin-Meishin Expressway and Shin-Tomei Expressway in the Kanagawa section. I think that further investment will be made in these areas.
