Due to the effects of the autumn rain front and typhoons, there is a possibility of road closures in the following sections within our service area.
From Monday, September 7th onwards, there is a possibility that the Tomei Expressway, Shin-Tomei Expressway, Chuo Expressway, etc. will be closed to traffic simultaneously.
We ask that you refrain from unnecessary travel to Tokyo and Nagoya.
Please note that depending on future weather conditions, the road closure may last for an extended period.
Even if you must travel, we ask for your cooperation in changing your departure time.
For the latest traffic information, please check iHighway Central Japan (NEXCO CENTRAL).

● Expressway will be closed to traffic in the following cases:
○When rain continues for a long period of time (cumulative rainfall)
○ The combination of continuous rainfall and hourly rainfall exceeds a certain level (combined rainfall).
○ If strong winds that would hinder driving are observed.
○ If the effects of high waves are confirmed
*If a road closure is initiated, customers using service areas (SAs) and parking areas (PAs) within the closed section may be unable to move until the closure is lifted.
*The amount of rainfall so far has loosened the ground, increasing the risk of landslides.
Therefore, the road closure will only be lifted after a period of rain-free weather has passed, followed by inspections, work, and confirmation of safety.
