How to use toll booths when ETC lanes are closed

Add this page to your favorites

If you are unable to use the entrance ETC lane

  • At the entrance, please take a ticket at the "General" lane.
  • At the exit, please use the "General" lane and hand your toll ticket and ETC card to the toll booth attendant.
  • At the toll booth where you pay the fee at the entrance, please hand your ETC card to the toll booth attendant in the "General" lane.

If the entrance ETC lane is unavailable, NEXCO CENTRAL will issue a "blue toll ticket." Customers who have a regular "yellow toll ticket" and are eligible for ETC time-based discounts, etc., are kindly requested to inform the toll booth attendant at the exit that the ETC lane was closed.

If you are unable to use the exit ETC lane

  • Please use the "General" lane and hand your ETC card to the toll booth attendant.
You can pay using your ETC card and pass through without paying cash.

Customers eligible for the disability discount are kindly requested to present their disability certificate to the toll booth attendant at the exit toll gate (the toll booth where the toll is collected). Please note that the disability discount will not be applied if the certificate is not presented.

*Please note that at smart interchanges, ETC may be temporarily unavailable due to inspections or other reasons, and you may be required to have an attendant assist you.

To customers who have received special vehicle permits based on vehicle width:

If your planned travel date falls within the period when the wide lane is scheduled to be closed, please change your route, such as using an alternative toll booth.
