June 27, 2006

Deer invaded Tomei Expwy four times in the past month. At Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited, we have inspected the vicinity and implemented measures to raise the height of the fence at the place where the deer seems to have intruded from 1.5 meters to 2.5 meters. The scope was significantly increased to Large and urgently implemented.

-Requests to customers-
We are also focusing on animal intrusion prevention measures to create roads that take into account the safety of our customers and the natural environment. Going forward, we will keep track of changes in the Expressway and its surroundings, and will continue to take countermeasures accordingly.
However, it is difficult to completely prevent animal invasion.
We ask customers to understand the purpose and look carefully ahead when using the Expressway (especially at night or in mountainous areas).
