This photo contest was the 10th time this year. Because it is a turning point, it is the usual recruitment theme "Expressway In addition to the “Scenery of the four seasons”, a new photo contest was added to the theme of “Your Special Scenery”.
We received many applications for each time, but this time we received 739 entries, both of which were record highs. The group of works that filled up the judging venue was just a masterpiece, and it was a fun judging session that was full of masterpieces.
Below, I would like to comment on each winning work.
"Expressway and the four seasons landscape section" < Grand Prize > The city that shines is Makoto Yoshimura's “Awakening City” As if symbolizing the new beginning of Shin-Tomei Expressway, the light trails of the car captured by exquisite photo opportunities seemed to be spotlighting the asphalt with powerful lights, giving a mysterious atmosphere It's like watching a scene from a science fiction movie.
< Outstanding performance award > “Welcome to Spring Expressway ” by Rikio Nakazawa, who was selected in, has a gentle atmosphere with subdued colors that resemble the world of sumi-e. The cherry blossoms emerge in a slightly silhouetted manner against the background of the light trails of the car, and the red light trails of the tail lights that blend into the dusk are beautiful. same < Outstanding performance award > Kiyoshi Komatsubara's "Playing in the Tsutodagawa" seems to be able to hear the yellow cheers of the girls playing in the quiet clear stream of midsummer. same < Outstanding performance award > Yushin Ochi's “Harvesting Time” is a fulfilling moment in which the rice ears grown and harvested over salt are dried in the sun. This is a scene of autumn, captured by the boy's warm gaze. same < Outstanding performance award > Shigeichi Otani's "Snow Removal" is a piece that captures the scene of snow plows working side by side on a road in extreme cold. At Hokuriku Expwy, it is a daily scene of midwinter, but it is very rare that you can see a scene that can be taken from directly behind a snowplow. Unfortunately, if the windshield wiper on your car's windshield shows the cloudy spots left behind, you may have been able to convey the rigors of the outside air. Many of the other fine works and winning entries were also masterpieces, and I felt that I was interested in this photo contest again.
In "Your Best Scenery" < Grand Prize > It was Toshio Takahashi's "Climax". This is a large-scale work that draws floats at the Koromo Festival in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture. The climax of the energy of a large number of people swarming over the floats is exactly captured by the exquisite timing and camera angle. While the light red confetti is dancing, the appearance of the men who double and triple overlap is the highlight.
< Outstanding performance award > The Ikuo Hoshino's "Diamond Fuji Season" was chosen in the midst of the freezing cold of winter, and people trying to catch Diamond Fuji are layered with reed silhouettes and captured successfully on the screen. It is a theme that tends to be a picture postcard, but it is a very realistic and dynamic work. same < Outstanding performance award > Tatsuya Fukano's "Draw Autumn Northern Alps" is a very pleasant photo with the whole tone just like watching a single oil painting. A man who paints in the midst of autumn leaves, not to mention the magnificent Northern Alps, which is already preparing for winter. Just bliss. The pleasantness of this photo is that it is close to the visual sensation of people in a landscape photo where a wide-angle lens is often used (Standard-medium telephoto) It may be due to the fact that it was taken by the lens. same < Outstanding performance award > Hajime University's “Winter Morning” is a world like the one depicted in Japanese painting, where the cold winter is dawning, water vapor springs out of the calm water surface, and migratory birds fly at a slow rhythm. Other < Special award > The scenery, which includes the works selected for, is exactly the scenery of my own, which covers a variety of spots and events. In other words, is this a scenery that I do not want to tell others? There were many works that were inspired by the desire to visit at least once.
