Q. What was your motive for joining the company?

I have loved driving since my student days, and while traveling throughout Japan, I became fascinated with Expressway that support the flow of people and goods.I also wanted to support people's lives through the construction and management of Expressway, so I decided to join the company. I decided.

Q. What kind of work is your job?

We mainly perform legal procedures such as concluding agreements regarding the construction of Expressway and smart interchanges that are under construction or lane widening, and determining and changing road zones. An agreement is an agreement entered into between the government and other related organizations involved in construction, specifying the scope of construction work and the amount of money to be borne. In addition, determining the road area is a procedure for determining the area that is legally a road, and only when the road area is covered is it considered to be Expressway. Both procedures are essential for promoting our business, and we coordinate with related departments and organizations both inside and outside the company.

Q. How rewarding is this job?

This is a place where you can be involved in a project that will remain on the map, namely the construction of Expressway. When we think of the construction business, we have the image of technical employees playing an active role, but administrative employees can also be active in fields such as land acquisition in addition to my own work. Even though it is called a construction project, the progress of planning, design, land acquisition, construction, etc. varies depending on the project. Depending on the progress of the project, my work allows me to be closely involved in the process of completing each project, such as determining the road area, signing agreements, and procedures for starting service based on the law when the Expressway. I feel emotional when it opens.

Q. What are your thoughts on the appeal and characteristics of this company?

The advantage is that you can be involved in the large infrastructure of Expressway in a variety of roles. I have been involved in the construction business, maintenance/service business, and corporate division. There are different perspectives on Expressway depending on the department or location you work in, but what we all have in common is that Expressway are essential infrastructure for Japan's economy and local life. When we were involved in the lifting of road closures due to disasters and the opening of new Expressway, we received happy responses from customers such as ``Thank you'' and ``It was convenient.'' We realized that Expressway are essential infrastructure for people's lives. I could feel it.

Q. What are your goals for the future?

In order to meet the expectations of society and customers, I would like to continue to play my role in the progress of the project so that we can open a safe, secure, and comfortable Expressway as soon as possible. Especially for projects that are about to open, we will pay close attention to the schedule and make sure to carry out the necessary procedures in a timely and appropriate manner in preparation for the opening.
In addition, as for my future career plans, I would like to take advantage of our company's unique job rotation system and gain a wide range of work experience, thereby becoming a person who can contribute to our business in a more diverse way.
