Interview date: November 2023

Q. What was your motive for joining the company?

Since I had many opportunities to use Expressway since I was a child, I have many fond memories, and by being involved in providing a safe, secure, and comfortable Expressway space, I feel that I can bring the same happiness to others that I felt. Because I wanted to deliver it.

Q. What kind of work is your job?

I am mainly in charge of tasks related to the collection of Expressway tolls and the maintenance and management of collection machines. In order to properly collect tolls from customers and allow them to pass through tollgates safely, we manage the purchase of equipment such as launch control bars and the inspection and maintenance of toll collection machines. In addition, by regularly patrolling and inspecting toll plazas and maintaining close communication with toll plaza staff and other Companies in our Group personnel working in the field, we can share issues, quickly discover dilapidated areas, and quickly We are working to improve the safety of toll plazas and customer service by arranging repairs.

Q. How rewarding is this job?

You can be involved in large-scale projects with a highly public nature. When you actually work there, you realize that so many people are involved in the safe operation of Expressway. As a road administrator, we need to work together with Companies in our Group, government agencies such as the national government, and the police. Although negotiations sometimes run into difficulties, everyone involved is working with a strong sense of mission and responsibility towards the goal of protecting the infrastructure that we take for granted 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and we feel a sense of unity that transcends the organization. Masu.

Q. What are your thoughts on the appeal and characteristics of this company?

Job rotation allows you to experience a variety of businesses and tasks, which is an attractive feature. Up until now, in the maintenance and service business, I have been involved in traffic management and road/real estate management as a manager, and toll collection and maintenance of collection machines as a toll manager. Even in the same maintenance and service business, if the work you are responsible for or the location is different, you will face various challenges such as changes in the content of the work and conditions specific to the region. Although it may be difficult to get used to it at first, one of the characteristics of the company is that there are many people who use their past experience and knowledge to collaborate with people from other departments and play an active role.

Q. What are your goals for the future?

Our goal is to achieve zero traffic accidents and to become professionals in jobs that are directly related to customer safety. I think the situation surrounding Expressway will continue to change, with improvements in self-driving technology, ETC-only use, and the opening of sections under construction. Although I still have limited knowledge and experience, I will continue to gain a wide range of work experience and self-improvement through job rotation, and will be able to respond flexibly to any situation and ensure that all customers experience safe, secure, and comfortable Expressway. As a member of NEXCO CENTRAL Group organization, I would like to continue working with a focus on teamwork.
