Interview date: November 2023

Q. What was your motive for joining the company?

I became interested in logistics after participating in an internship at a logistics company when I was a student. As I wanted to do work that would help more people, I decided that I wanted to work on Expressway support logistics.

Q. What kind of work is your job?

The General Affairs Division is a department that supports the business and employees of the entire Regional Head Office. Specifically, we strive to maintain and improve health by creating a comfortable working environment through purchasing goods, completing in-house procedures based on employment management regulations, and holding health checkups and welfare events.
I mainly work on labor management, awards, and welfare events. In the work related to awards, as the secretariat, we work with many employees, regardless of job type or affiliation, in order to coordinate and make preparations with all parties involved, from soliciting and deciding on projects to holding the award ceremony.

Q. How rewarding is this job?

The General Affairs Division is a corporate department and does not directly engage in work related to Expressway projects. However, I believe that by improving the health, job satisfaction, and safety awareness of our employees, we are supporting the smooth operation of Expressway business, and as a result, we are contributing to the safety and security of Expressway customers. I am. Expressway business is supported by many employees of different occupations and ages. Although each person is responsible for a variety of tasks, I want to fulfill my role with one goal in mind: protecting the safety of our customers.

Q. What are your thoughts on the appeal and characteristics of this company?

I think this is a company where women can feel safe and active. Personally, I am currently taking advantage of the ``Working Hours Change System'' and am raising my child, who attends a nursery school, while changing my arrival and departure times. Some people who are job-hunting may be worried that it will be difficult to draw up a life plan due to transfers, but there is a system in which employees who meet the requirements are limited to their work location for a certain period of time. etc. are also maintained. My husband also works at the same company, but he took childcare leave after giving birth. I think one of the appeals of our company is that we support a wide variety of work styles, regardless of whether you are a man or a woman.

Q. What are your goals for the future?

My immediate goal is to increase my knowledge of labor management, etc., and expand the scope and knowledge of my work. In the medium to long term, I would like to utilize my past experience in toll and road management departments to work in road maintenance and management. There are many issues that we will have to face in the future, such as dealing with the deterioration of structures over time and responding to changes in society and the environment. I want to be I also value the time I spend with my children and myself, and I want to enrich not only my work life but also my private life.
