It can measure the three major characteristics of pavement surfaces - rutting, cracking, and flatness - at any speed up to 120km/h, day or night, and also measures the longitudinal and transverse directions of the road surface using GNSS and IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) technology.It is also a cutting-edge road surface property measurement vehicle equipped with multi-functional measurement and evaluation technology, including lane mark peeling rate, aggregate scattering specific to high-performance pavements, localized settlement of the road surface, and the amount of unevenness.

Measuring Equipment
Road surface images are taken using a 3D stereo camera consisting of two CCD line scan cameras in combination with blue LED lighting that illuminates the road surface in a line. This single 3D stereo camera can measure rutting and cracks. Furthermore, flatness (IRI, σ3m) is measured using accelerometers and non-contact laser displacement meters installed on the left and right sides of the vehicle.
Compact vehicle and safe measurement
Previously, separate cameras were used to measure road surface properties, one for rutting and one for cracks, but by consolidating the measuring equipment into a 3D stereo camera, the vehicle size has become more compact.
Additionally, while measurements were previously taken at speeds between 60 and 100 km/h, maintaining a safe distance from the customer's vehicle was an issue, but the measurable speed range has now been Large to 30 to 120 km/h, making measurements safer.
