February 5, 2026
As of 4:00 PM
Due to the influx of strong cold air from Saturday, February 7th to Monday, February 9th, there is a possibility of heavy snowfall over a wide area within our jurisdiction.
In particular, snowfall is predicted in areas of the Kanto region that don't usually see much snow.
Depending on the snowfall conditions, there is a possibility that tire checks and road closures will be implemented in accordance with winter tire regulations, so when heading out, please be sure to check the latest weather and traffic information and allow yourself plenty of time.
Also, when traveling to areas where snowfall is expected, please prepare for heavy snow by installing winter tires and carrying chains.
■Please be careful!
●If you are using Expressway, be sure to use winter tires or carry tire chains, and take a wide detour to avoid areas with heavy snowfall.
●Driving on snowy roads with normal tires is against the law.
●Transportation companies and shippers are also asked to check future weather forecasts and take wide detours to avoid areas experiencing snowfall.

● Expressway and national highways may be closed at the same time.
In order to prevent large-scale vehicle backlogs, Expressway and the parallel national highway may be closed at the same time.
In the case of simultaneous road closures, you may be required to make a U-turn at Expressway interchange (IC) where the road closure ends, as you will not be able to exit onto the national highway.
In addition, the closed section may extend up to an interchange where you can exit onto a national highway.

■Please check before going out
