A new ultra-high damping rubber bearing with a specially formulated coated rubber based on chloroprene rubber
In recent years, cracks in laminated rubber due to ozone degradation have been reported. (Ozone degradation is a phenomenon in which ozone reacts with a double bond in rubber and cuts the rubber molecular chains on the surface.) As a result of conducting an accelerated ozone test under the following test conditions, We have succeeded in developing a rubber material with ozone resistance performance that is more than 5,000 times as large as that of other rubber materials. By covering the bearing surface with this newly developed rubber material, it is possible to suppress cracks in the laminated rubber due to ozone for a long time.

Basic concept
High ozone resistant ultra-high damping rubber bearing (UDRB-HS) was developed based on the following concept.
Improved long-term durability |
耐オゾン性能の高い被覆ゴムを用いていることから、オゾン劣化への影響が抑えられ、長期間にわたり高い耐久性能が確保されます。 |
Life cycle cost Reduction |
Since the effect on ozone degradation is suppressed, repair and replacement of the rubber bearing body is greatly reduced, and life cycle costs can be reduced during the service period. |
Excellent deformation performance |
Chloroprene rubber, which is the main component, has the same or higher deformation performance as natural rubber due to special blending, and can follow repeated deformation during a large earthquake. In addition, stable quality and performance are ensured by various dependency tests and shear deformation performance tests. |
Shear deformation performance test
High ozone resistant ultra-high damping rubber bearing (UDRB-HS) has shear deformation performance of shear strain of 300% or more.
